At EICMA, the annual motorcycle show in Milan, Gogoro introduced its latest battery-powered Gogoro S.

Developers say that Gogoro S with its polished dashboard and the graphite toned chassisis is their most advanced innovation and design so far.

This electric smartscooter has a reported riding range per battery swap of approximately 100km. It comes equipped with a G1 S motor delivering output of 7.2 kW at 5,000 RPM. It's quite a little daredevil, being able to accelerate from zero to 50 km/h in 3.7 seconds, making it faster and more powerful than the previous model. For safety reasons, its maximum speed has been limited to 95 km/h. It weighs 94 kilograms and 112 kilograms with both batteries included. Its trunk size is 24.5 liters.

Among others, upgrades from the previous model include smoke visor, smoke adaptive path light, smoke break light, brake fluid reservoir viewing light, trunk light and USB charging port, and dark titanium grey aluminum floor guard. Created from racing-grade aluminum, Aeroframe chassis is ultra-light, yet strong, allowing great balance and agility. Curved surfaces have been coated in Matte Graphite, while the 6-spoke rims of the 12-inch wheels have been dipped and treated to a high-gloss Mirror Black finish.

The fast little scooter is doing quite well, sales-wise. Since 2015 the startup from Taiwan sold over 14,000 units locally and build 240 GoStations all over the country, so their customers needn't recharge at home - they just simply and quickly swap batteries and roll on.

The Gogoro S is already available for purchase in Taiwan for NT$123,000 (cca. US$3,900).
