Aston Martin has confirmed that it is developing a new mid-engine hybrid car with a working code Project 003, which is expected to hit the roads and raceways in 2021.

The Aston Martin hypercar, which will come from Project 003, will be limited to only 500 pieces, and its development will benefit from the 001 and 002 developments, or better said the development of Aston Martin Valkyrie and Valkyrie AMR Pro.

In the centre of the Aston Martin Project 003 will be a lightweight structure, while its hybrid powertrain will be a combination of turbo charged petrol engine and an electric motor. As they say at Aston Martin, Project 003 will have the leading dynamics both on roads and on racing tracks, which will also be supported by active aerodynamics with a powerful down force, precise active suspension and other techniques that will provide the driver with accurate data.

Project 003 will not only be a race car, it will also provide a comfortable passenger compartment and enough space for passengers' luggage.
