BMWs lithium-ion batteries are not powering just their cars – now they are also going marine.

BMW started to supply batteries from its Dingolfing plant also to the German marine technology and boat maker Torqeedo, which was established in 2005 in German town Starnberg on the shore of Starnberger lake in Bavaria.

Torqueedo produces electric and hybrid propulsion systems for motorboats, saling yachts and other marine applications in the power range of 1 to 160 HP. They are usnig BMWs batteries in their high-performance Deep Blue line of electric drive systems for boats.
