At the 2016 Geneva motor, BMW, beside introducing the all-new iPerformance model designation, took the opportunity to unveil a new and exclusive limited-edition version of the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car.
The BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition is all about ''tailoring the trailblazing sports coupe'' to each individual's needs and preferences. It comes with a signature, exclusive Protonic Red paint finish with contrast accents in Frozen Grey metallic, complemented by BMW W-spoke 470 light-alloy wheels. Red is also seen in double lap seams of the seats and red stitching, as well as in the door and side trim panels – creating a perfect harmony between the exterior and the interior of the vehicle. Exclusively designed embellishers for Protonic Red were made from highgrade carbon fibre for the centre console and instrument panel, complementing it with black ceramic detailing and grey-coloured seat belts.
According to BMW, the BMW i8 Protonic Red Edition, which will be available to order for a limited period only up to the end of 2016, announces a line of upcoming exclusive and highly limited editions of the brand.
