General Motors in cooperation with electric drag racing team Hancock and Lane Racing prepared an electric drag racer, based on the 2019 Chevrolet COPO Camaro.

Chevrolet eCOPO Camaro is driven by two electric motors with a system power of 550 kW and 813 Nm of torque, which are connected to a rear axle via conventional racing-prepared Turbo 400 automatic transmission. Electricity is stored in a 32 kWh battery pack and the system works with 800 V voltage for more efficient power transfer to a electric motor and faster recharging. Chevrolet expects for the car to reach quarter-mile times in about 9 seconds.
