A couple of days ago we presented the first car, produced by the British electric car brand Detroit Electric, and now we invite you to take a look at the newbie in action!

The video starring the electric roadster Detroit Electric SP:01 in the title role was shot in one of the birthplaces of the oil industry by the Caspian sea, on the beautifully lightened streets of Azerbaijan's capital city.

Perhaps there is some symbolism to be found in the fact that the company chose to make the representation video in Baku - at the location, which was once famed as one of the largest, most significant oil fields in the world, whereas today the sources of oil there are next to none. Namely, in the future, the electric cars may very well completely substitute conventional cars, powered by fossil fuels, which the Earth will sooner or later run out of.
