Sebastien Buemi became the first double winner of the Formula E. His win in the prestigious e-prix in Monaco also brought 3rd victory of the season to e.Dams-Renault team.

More than 23 thousand spectators who saw the safety car after first lap of the race already attended the race. Pile-up after first corner of the shortened F1 track has caused some retirements, most notably Bruno Senna, whose car was launched into the air and landed on two wheels. Vergne, Duval, Duran and Liuzzi were also involved.

After the restart a lively battle developed at the sharp end of the field - Buemi, di Grassi, D'Ambrosio, Piquet, Sarrazin, Prost and Bird fought for the top places. Despite tight Monaco track there were some overtaking maneuvers, but the most interesting moments came with the stops to change the car when Buemi managed to leave the pits just in front of di Grassi, who then tried to overtake immediately before the harbor hairpin, but with no success. Di Grassi then had to defend against attacks by Piquet, and while the two Brazilians battled for second place (di Grassi won that duel), Buemi has won with two seconds advantage.

Second place was enough for di Grassi to keep him in the lead in the overall standings, while Buemi has caught up with the best and is only six points behind di Grassi.

The next race will be held on May 23rd in Berlin city center, and it will be broadcast live broadcast on www.fiaformulae.com.
