According to the document seen by Reuters, German Finance Ministry wants to support those who plan to buy electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.

They are prosposing the incentive of 5,000 euros for electric car buyers and 3,000 euros for those, who opt for plug-in hybrid car. The ministry wants the scheme to run untill June 2018, when by the plans amount shoul be reduced to 3,000 euros for electric and 2,000 euros for plug-in vehicles. The incentive is planed to run on a first-come-first-served basis.

The incentives program, which will be available for cars costing less than 60,000 euros, will cost about 1,2 billion euros, which will be equally shared between german government and automotive industry.
