Hyundai is soon to reveal their new model called Ioniq, so they are already creating promotional videos. During the shoot, Ioniq became the unsuspecting victim of sneaky sneaky photographers!

The new model signifies Hyundai's biggest step towards joining the league of hybrid, plugin-hybrid and electric car manufacturers. It will be available in all three alternative fuel options and will – design-wise – strongly resemble Toyota Prius and 2016 Chevrolet Volt; most likely due to aerodynamic reasons.

The Ioniq rides on a specific platform made for electrified cars and will be powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder with an electric motor. It is said to come with an independent rear suspension.

The Ioniq will be officially presented at an event in South Korea this month, followed by auto show debuts in Geneva and New York. With equipment and pricing somewhere in the range of Prius, Ioniq will go on sale towards the end of 2016.
