Peugeot has undertaken extensive hybridization of its production models. The first on  the line, coming next fall, are plug-in hybrid versions of Peugeot 3008, Peugeot 508 and Peugeot 508 SW.

There are actually two hybrid drives, as the Peugeot 3008 will have a HYBRID 4 4-wheel drive, and Peugeots 508 and 508 SW will have a HYBRID front wheel drive. Both have a 300 V lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 11.8 (508 and 508 SW) or 13.2 (5008) kWh, which allows up to fifty kilometers of electric drive. It can be charged on the 6.6 kW Wallbox in good two hours.

Peugoeots 508 and 508 SW are driven by HYBRID powetrain, a combination of a 132 kW turbocharged petrol engine and 80 kW electric motor, which develops systemic power of 165 kW and emits less than 49 g of carbon dioxide per kilometer while driving.

The Peugeot 3008 has a different HYBRID 4 drive, a combination of a 147 kW turbocharged petrol engine, an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 110 kW electric motor on the front axle and a 110 kW electric motor at the rear axle. Acceleration up to 100 kilometers per hour lasts 6.5 seconds. HYBRID 4 will only be available on the Peugeot 3008 GT.
