According to Renault, the study of the future racing car, which they see doing the laps in 2027, focuses more on the driver than today's solutions. They've demonstrated that by creating a transparent cockpit and a transparent helmet, putting the driver right in the center of the action and making him more visible to the crowds.

Offering protection against impacts, there will be an ultra-resistant polycarbonate cockpit canopy. Future racing cars are also depicted as more vivid an colorful, having active LED lighting incorporated into the wheels and moving aerodynamic parts such as the car's active wings

Another interesting feature is extensive interaction between the cars and connection with spectators, who will be now able to check out the telemetry data of their favourite driver.

Racing cars will also be equipped with autonomous driving systems that will be activated in the event of an accident on the racing track. The fuel tank will be half the size of the one used today, but R.S. 2027 Vision will be able to go into full-electric mode for use along the pit lane.
