Škoda is slowly publishing details of a Vision RS, a brand new car, which will be premiered in Paris next week. Now it is shure, that it will be driven by a hybrid powertrain.

The Vision RS's powertrain will consist of a well-known 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine with the power of 110 kW and an electric motor that will independently produce 75 kW of power. In total, 180 kW will be transmitted to the wheels, which will allow accelerations in 7.1 seconds to 100 km/h.

In addition to sports, Vision RS will also have a 'green' character. In spite of the powerful drive unit thanks to the electric motor, the car will have little effect on the environment. For every kilometer it is supposed to drop into the air only 33 grams of carbon dioxide. Thanks to a battery pack with a capacity of 13 kWh, the car should reach up to 70 km with electric drive. Alternatively, the battery pack can be recharged to an electric charger (no charging system is foreseen, and in normal mode it will be necessary to wait for 2 hours and a half) or with the recovery of the braking energy.

As mentioned earlier, Škoda will also minimize the environmental impact of the interior. Seat covers will be from Alcantara and 100% recycled polyester, while fibers from pineapple leaves will be used in the production of textile carpets. The sporty character of the car will thou not suffer from this.
