Tesla Motors introduced first real electric truck, semi-trailer, which should start its production cycle in 2019, and also a new electric Roadster, which can reach the 400 kilometers per hour top speed and is though among the fastest production cars in the world.

According to the claims from Tesla Motors, a semi-trailer will have a reach of 800 kilometers with the possibility to charge batteries for next 640 kilometers in half an hour. Also its capabilities are promising. Withour a trailer Tesla truck should reach 100 kilometers per hour in just five seconds and with the trailer it will take just five more seconds. Fully loaded it will be able to drive up the 5-percent slopes with the speed of up to 110 kilometers per hour.

First Tesla trucks will hit the road in 2019, but Tesla Motors already collects 5000 dollars of advancend payment for them. They claim that the owner of electric truck will save 200.000 dollars just in fuel costs compared to comparable diesel truck.

A litle more unexpected was presentation of a new Tesla Roadster. A 2+2 seater beside the name has nothing in common with the first Tesla Roadster, which actually established the brand. It will be able reach a top speed beyond 400 kilometers per hour, accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in just 1,9 seconds and take quarter mille in 8,8 seconds. It will boast a 10.000 Nm of torque and will have four wheel drive. With fully charged batteries it will be able to drive 1.000 kilometers.
