Radio Flyer introduced a fabulous $500 Model S for little Tesla fans. If your Mum and Dad can afford it, this is truly a great time for kids!
It was only a couple of days ago that we reported on Actev debuting its utterly smart & stylish Arrow Kart, but yesterday something just as exciting joined the race for the ultimate electric kid car!
Namely, Radio Flyer, the 99-year-old official maker of the little red wagon and other quality toys, created a tiny version of the popularTesla electric sedan, the "Model S for kids" aged 3-8.
The mini Model S comes with working headlights and a front trunk. It has a weight of 81 pounds and features the longest run time and fastest recharge time. It may not be as fast as Arrow Kart, nor does it focus on safety as much (just think collision avoidance and geofencing features), but its FlightSpeed™ Lithium Ion battery pack recharges in only 3 hours. If you want your mini car to be ready at all times, you can purchase an extra (and more powerful) battery to keep it charging while the car is in use.
Like a real Tesla for grown-ups, the Model S for kids is customizable and ready to accessorize. It can be covered with Deep Blue Metallic, Midnight Silver Metallic, or Red Multi-Coat; and, if you like, you can get your kid a personalized license plate with his or her name on it.
The mini car reaches 6 miles per hour, but by a simple flip of a switch you can limit the maximum speed to just 3 miles per hour.
The amazing scale model Tesla for children costs $500 and is scheduled to ship in May 2016.
