

Studio Ghibli celebrates 30 years with a long-awaited retrospective exhibition in Tokyo, where fans can witness a real 'Castle in the Sky' ship!
Fans of Japanese animation are more than familiar with Studio Ghibli and their famous anime films, such as Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo, Princess Mononoke, and The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. This year, the magical world of Ghibli celebrates three whole decades of one of the the finest animation ever brought to film with the anniversary exhibition, Studio Ghibli Expo.
On the observation deck of the Roppongi Hills Tokyo City View fans can visit a real-life ship from the famous animation film 'Castle in the Sky' as the centerpiece of the Expo, surrounded by numerous other flying machines, brought to life from the imaginative world of Ghibli and its masterful animator Miyazaki.
On display there are also numerous prints, posters, movie stills from classic Miyazaki films, t-shirts, toys, and other Ghibli-themed merchandise as well as original artwork. Also, if you have a sweet tooth, be sure to visit a delightful little cafe that offers eleven fantasy dishes inspired by Ghibli films.
Tickets for Studio Ghibli Expo cost 1800 yen (about $18), so if you're anywhere around Tokyo and a fan of the legendary Japanese animation, don't miss this!
