Just before the Zenbo robot official reveal on May 30, ASUS chairman Jonney Shih stated for the press: "Our ambition is to enable robotic computing for every household." The new home robot from ASUS is supposed to be aimed at seniors, helping them enjoy a connected digital life and safeguard their health and well-being, but Zenbo could also prove to be a fun and exciting addition for all members of the family to enjoy, including children.

So, let's take a look at what the adorable new family member can do. For starters, it can move freely and independently around the house and offer assistance anywhere you need it. Zenbo can 'see' with his camera and is able to recognize faces of all the family members, so he always 'knows' who he's interacting with. The camera also lets Zenbo take photos and videos, make video calls, and to top it all, it even provides remote home monitoring, giving you peace of mind that your home is safe when you're away.

When you hear it speak, it will remind you of some important information, such as doctor's appointment or simply that it's time to take your medicine. On the other hand, Zenbo can also tell bedtime stories and entertain children with a variety of educational games and fun learning materials. Or, it can read recipes out loud so you can stay focused on your cooking. It can also 'hear' your spoken commands or questions and respond to them.

Moreover, Zenbo features high-quality built-in stereo, so it can dub as your DJ and play music anytime you like. It's able to connect to all the smart devices in your home (including lights, TVs, air conditioners, and appliances) and interact with connected services, social media and shopping sites. Imagine that, it can even make an online order and basically make sure you get your pizza in time for a movie night with your friends.

It remains to be seen when you can order one, but once the pre-orders are out, this bundle of electronic cuteness will cost you $599.
