Competing against AI in video games is one thing - we've all seen it, we've all done it. But how about taking on AI on a proper toy race track? The game is on!

For the first time, toy cars have been enchanced to A.i. Smart Cars that stay on track, or drive independently and compete with you!

In the Hot Wheels A.i. Intelligent Race System Starter Kit players will receive 2 high-performance RC Smart Cars with scale speeds up to 180 mph (290 kph). The blue 1/32 scale model is called "Fast Fish", whiel the orange one is "Spin King." The shells can be customized - you can opt for other new designs - and the same goes for the wheel rims.

The set also includes 2 smart gaming controllers (connecting at 2.4GHz each) that enable video game style play, so you can really get your game on. Players can choose between multiple gameplay modes (including various skill levels: beginner, advanced and expert) for all ages, despite the company's aiming at children of 8+,  and 20 pieces of Smart Track, which can be arranged in over 40 different layouts.

Keeping the racing experience as exciting as racing on your living room floor can possibly get, are also real-time race announcements and sound FX. Moreover, players can experience actual issues on the track in the form of virtual hazards, such as engine failure, tire blowouts, oil spills and pit stops.

The Hot Wheels AI set can be pre-ordered at various retailers via Hot Wheels Shop, wher you can get your set for a little less than $100.

The race against the AI is on, be there 1 October, 2016.
