AirBar by Swedish Neonode Inc. is sleek, matte black, and lies attached beneath your screen, so you almost don't notice it. It makes it possible for the user to make touch gestures and work on the laptop even without a touchscreen.
According to developers, AirBar projects an invisible light field on the surface of your display that makes it possible to "touch" the screen and interact with Windows® 8 and 10 gestures, thanks to Neonode's zForce AIR™ technology.
Gestures - you can pinch, swipe, zoom in and out or scroll up and down - can be made either with gloves, a brush, fingers or whatever else you like. The reason you can use anything to touch is that the light field reacts to any disturbance. What makes this brilliant little piece of technology very welcome is also the fact that it doesn't drain your battery. It's also very easy to install and use it - you attach it with the magnetic strip, plug in the USB port and you're ready to touch.
AirBar will soon be available for 11.6", 13.3", 14" and 15.6" PC screens, costing you $69. The company is already taking pre-orders on their website.
