Haffenden House is the name of the mini house which won this year's Award of Merit by the American Institute of Architects. It is unique for its imaginative reading room, but also attracts attention for its unique design.

To begin with, this house was designed as a studio for writing, has three levels with a garage, the library window faces into the yard. All you need for a feeling of intimacy or privacy is a curtain.

One assumes you would never run out of creative ideas for your writing while soaking nicely in your bath...
