Audi designed the e-tron quattro concept study as a completely electrical car. This sporting SUV has low bodywork with coupe interior, and has enough space for four passengers. Second generation longitudinal modular platform serves as the technical foundation, which gives a lot less maneuvering space when installing the propulsion system and batteries. Large lithium-ionic batteries are installed under the passenger cabin between both axes and ensure low center of gravity, which improves driving stability and car dynamics. Two electro-motors are installed on the back axis and one on the front, which is the result of experience with the Audi R8 e-tron race car. This engine distribution gives the study dynamics and energy efficiency.
