Last night Audi introduced its first all electric racing car, Formula E Audi e-tron FE04 racer, which, as they claim, symbolizes Audi's transition from conventional car producer to a brand with expertise in alternative powertrains.

Audi will take full control in its Formula E racing team, which untill now was in domain of partners ABT and Schaeffler, which will continue to take part in the team. For the new season they prepared a new factory racing car Audi e-tron FE04, which differs substantially from elecztric racer, which helped Lucas di Grassi to overall win last seson. Beside improved powetrain and suspension new racing car will also feature a new colour scheeme, a combination of white, metallic green and black. Di Grassis car will of course bear number 1, but that will not be the only difference to car number 66 of the other Audi's driver Daniel Abt, whose presence in another car will be marked with addition of red colour in car's livery, so that spectators will be able to recognize them apart.
