Troubles on the horizon at Audi we might say. After revealing a rolling prototype of their first ever electric SUV, E-tron in Geneva – show car was fully masked, however driving around town – it looked like Audi is just inches away from revealing it to the public. However, it looks like, there are still some problems within developing phase of the car.
Audi planned to reveal the E-tron on 30. Of August this year on Audi Summit in Brussels, Belgium, where the cart should be built. However, due to "organisational issues" or so Audi says in official statement revealed by Autocar, the car may not be ready to be displayed on the event, which is thus going to be postponed and moved to USA. Place and time of the reveal has not yet been announced.
On the other hand, Audi is still optimistic about the first deliveries, on which this event should not have any impact. First cars should thus arrive to the customers and on the market sometimes before the new year or at the beginning of 2019, where it is about to compete with Jaguar I-Pace and yet-to-be revealed BMW iX3 and Mercedes-Benz EQC.
