
It will continue its involvment in ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport Team, but in 2017-2018 season it will also incorporate Formule E into a factory backed motorsport program. Audi Sport was a part of the team name ever since the Formula E championship inavguration in 2014-2015 season. They also made the brazilian driver Lucas di Grassi available and also alloved team to use Audi Sport facilities in Nürburgring.
As the first visible sign of Audi's increased involvment in Formula E the four rings will be more prominently featured on the sides and rear wings in the new livery of the ABT Schaeffler FE02 racing car.
