Cadillac announced that their CT6 saloon will also be available with a plug-in hybrid drive train..

Compared to internal combustion-only versions, the plug-in hybrid Cadillac CT6 PHEV will have twice the range, which will be further enhanced by the light structure of the coachwork. The basis of the plug-in hybrid drive of the 5.182-metre saloon will be a 2-litre turbocharged petrol four-cylinder engine assisted by electric motors in electric variable transmission (EVT) on the rear axle. Together they will output 250 kilowatts of power and a lithium-ion battery with a performance capacity of 18.4 kWh will see to it that the electric-driving range is sufficient for everyday needs.
