Visa Paris ePrix race was great success for Abt Schaeffer driver Lucas Di Grassi. He managed to secure third victory in this season and extend his champinoship lead.

After taking the lead at the start Di Grassi managed to stay in the front for the remainder of the race aside from two laps during for car change. After the chinese debutant Ma Quing Hua from Team Aguri crashed heavily (but walked away without injury) 4 laps from the end, the race was finished behnid the BMW i8 Safety Car and Di Grassi has won without grand finish that he would certainly deserve.

DS Virgin Racing driver Jean-Eric Vergne finished second and brought podium to home brand DS and Sebastien Buemi managed third for Renault after battling with second DS driver and pole sitter Sam Bird, who made a mistake while fighting with Buemi and lost several places.

"I think it was the most perfect start we had so far," Di Grassi said after the race. "Sam had a lot of wheelspin and I just managed to avoid getting any. Jean-Eric also had a very good start and I was looking in my mirrors to make sure that he didn't get room on the inside. From then onwards I was pushing really hard, even after the Full Course Yellow. After the pitstop, on the cold tyres the car was just sliding for two laps as I tried to build up the temperatures and he caught up a bit. To see people all around the track cheering, on the inside of the track and the outside... it's just amazing what was done here today and I hope we race here many more times and in more cities like Paris. This is what Formula E is about."
