It truly is. You may be familiar with the situation when you park your car in a huge garage, go shopping, but when you're all done and standing in front of the shopping center, you suddenly have no idea where was it exactly that you parked your car. If you had the free AwareCar app installed on your smartphone and a small, convenient Bluetooth beacon left in your car's glove compartment, locating your car wouldn't be a problem anymore.
According to creators, AwareCar is "the world's first app to remember parking levels/floor", thus capable of automatically detecting the exact location of the parked vehicle. What makes this possible, are the newest sensors in your phone that track elevation. Without further action required from the app user/driver, the app stores information and displays location of the car on a map.
If you park your car in a metered spot, the app prompts you to provide information on how much parking time you've paid for. When your time is up (and you become that potential owner of a brand new parking ticket), the app reminds you to go back to the car and pay for additional parking time. If that's not a kind app, we don't know what is.
You can also opt for a 'do not disturb' function, which is available for smartphones using Android. A welcomed feature for everyone who actually hate to be harassed by incoming phone calls during that relaxing drive (the one with the windows down and your hair being messed up by the wind).
The CR2032 Lithium 3V battery integrated in the beacon is supposed to last for an entire year and is replaceable. The price? 12 dollars (9 dollars for early birds).
