To provide batteries with the capacitiy 900 kWh, which is neccessary to reach such distance, Eviation signed agreement with Korean provider Kokam. Batteries, which will store electricity for three 260 kW electric motors, must also be light, which is achieved with the high energy density of 260 Wh/kg. Alice will take six to nine pasangers and two members of crew in the air and will also be able to take off and land automatically.
Alice is not really new to the public. Its mock-up was first shown at the Paris Air Show in 2017 and later it was shown at the Singapore Airshow. Now that the battery supply is secured, it should reach commercialization phase in 2019.
