The Tesla S 60, the basic version of Tesla's four-door electric sedan, has found its successor – the Tesla S 70D.

As demonstrated by that added "D," this car, unlike its predecessor, has been equipped with a four-wheel drive, composed of two 192 kW motors on the front and rear axles, that operate completely independently and, if necessary, total a 384 kW output. This is enough to accelerate the car to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.4 seconds, and to achieve its maximum speed of 225 kilometers per hour. With a full battery package, the 70D can drive 442 kilometers, and worry-free driving on longer routes is enabled by free charging via Tesla's fast Supercharger. In Europe, the Tesla S 70D is available for approximately EUR 75,800, and in three new colors: Ocean Blue, Obsidian Black and Warm Silver.
