The new dude, with a specially-coined name Hybrid Utility Vehicle (HUV), will see its official world debut at the 2016 Chicago Auto Show in February. It will be the first model to feature Kia's new platform for eco-friendly cars. 

The New Kira Niro will be the first model to be created on Kia's new dedicated eco­friendly car platform. Mainly thanks to its downsized gasoline-electric hybrid powertrain, it is said the the HUV will achieve a below 90 g/km CO2 emissions rating - combined, based on the New European Driving Cycle.
