It will be presented in Frankfurt along with EQV.

There is an SUV, there is also a van… Mercedes-Benz is already offering two fully electric cars in its line-up and even more hybrids or plug-in hybrids. And yet, we are still waiting for Mercedes’s first electric limousine to hit the market. While German car manufacturer, which is considered the oldest of them all, the inventor of the car and which is famous for its prestigious limousines, has not yet revealed one, powered solely by electricity.

Nevertheless, first sedan is on the way to Frankfurt and to prove the point that Mercedes-Benz is (still) quite a lot about sedans, it will simply be called the EQ (Although name EQS is not yet written of). To confirm that, Mercedes has only few hours ago posted two pictures of its new concept, where on the first we can see it hidden under white cover, while on the second, car’s silhouette can be seen.

No news has emerged about the car so far, so it cannot be said for sure, when it is going to arrive. Unofficially though, it is supposedly going to be the size of a current S-class, while entirely differing from it from the ground up, having an entirely new aluminum-intensive platform built to be electrified from day one, where two electric motors are to be placed.
