According to Autocar, Mercedes-Benz is planning to replace most of its current plug-in vehicles with next generation plug-in hybrid cars,. which will hit the market under EQ Power brand.

Daimler already pulled current plug-in versions od C-Class, E-Class, S-Class and GLE and will eventually replace them with new versions. The first new plug-in car, which will arrive in some months from now, will apparently belong to S-class, and will be before the end of this year followed by Mercedes GLE, which will have the same powertrain as S-Class, and E-Class, which is said to get petrol and diesel versions of plug-in hybrid powetrain. Next spring we can expect the plug-in version of C-Class and the last to come will be a plug-in hybrid version of A-Class.

An electric range of all future plug-in hybrids shuold increase to around 50 kilometers and the top electric speed will be by 140 km/h, which is approximately 15 km/h more as with current versions.
