Powerful and faster are just the two superlatives that are used to describe Pinifarina’s first car that is going to be released as an independent car by the brand itself. A brand with a long tradition in automotive world so it would not be a good move for them at all, if they decide to present a car with just an average performance.

However, up until now, there has been no name, dedicated to it, only plane project names and codes. The one that Pininfarina gave it is on the other hand probably the best they could gave: Battista. It is actually going to be named after the men, who in 1930 decided to start designing cars and established a world-renowned designing studio, Carrozzeria Pininfarina.

As already known for a while now, the car is going to be built in very limited numbers and under supervision of Paolo Pininfarina, Battistas grandson and current president of Pininfarina Company. It is going to be built with the help of Indian car manufacturer Mahindra and equipped with an electric motor, capable of providing 1.416 kilowatts – enough to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than two seconds.
