Nelson Piquet Jr and Renault e.dams – the inaugural FIA Formula E Championship winning driver and team – were honoured at the FIA Prize-Giving ceremony these days in Paris.

Held at the famous Lido theatre in Paris, Piquet, Alain Prost and Jean-Paul Driot took to the stage alongside drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Sebastien Ogier and Mark Webber to collect their awards.

Piquet took two wins on his way to securing the Formula E title by a single point in the season finale in Battersea, while Renault e.dams was the only team to have both its drivers win a race, and it wrapped up the teams' title with a race to spare.

"The first race that we won in Long Beach opened our eyes to that fact that we could win the championship," said Piquet, "and from there it just took off."

Season two of Formula E resumes in Punta del Este on December 19.
