During the event-opening drive around the 3.337km circuit, Prince Albert II was accompanied by Princess Charlene and a representative from the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile. The drive was also part of a promotional campaign with which Honda will be demonstrating its new advanced fuel cell technology until 2022.

The hydrogen-powered Clarity Fuel Cell proved to be the perfect choice for Prince Albert II and his Foundation, aimed at limiting the effects of climate change and promote renewable energies by focusing strongly on the environment and sustainability.
