After Land Rover presented a plug-in version of Range Rover Sport a couple of days ago, now the plug-in hybrid is also available in Range Rover for the 2018 model year.
Plug-in hybrid version of Range Rover has the same abbreviation P400e at the end, which also means that it has the same powertrain as Range Rover Sport P400e. It consists of 296 hp 2-litre turbopetrol engine and 85 kW electric motor. It is integrated into the 8-speed transmition, which distributes power to all four wheels.
Electric motor takes its power from lithium-ion battery with the capacitiy of 13,1 kWh, which is charged via 7-kilowatt onboard charger and stores enough power for up to 51 kilometers of electric drive. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kph takes 6,4 seconds combined and the emisions of carbon dioxide are at 64 g per kilometer.
Also the Range Rover in general received some updates, especially in the cabin, where passangers can use a new infotainment system, which debuted already in Range Rover Velar.
