Five years after the start of the electric vehicles sales, Renault achieved a special milestone. It sold its 100,000th electric vehicle.

The 100,000th electric Renault sold was ZOE and on September 9th it was handed over to the 41-year-old Norvegian Asmund Gilleb.

In the first half of this year, not including the tiny city flitzer Twizy, Renault sold more than 15,000 electric cars and achieved a 32 percent growth comparing to the same period last year. It also established itself as the leading electric cars manufacturer in Europe. Renault is the electric car of choice for every fourth driver in Europe; in Renault's homeland France, it's even the every second choice. The biggest markets for Renault electric vehicles have proven to be France, Norway, United Kingdom and Germany.
