A 2012 concept of the meter-long, square-shaped electric scooter for personal urban commute by BOXX Corp. made it to production phase this year.
This scooter is eco-friendly, it's compact and designed to stand out from the rest of the crowd. Boxx Corp. describes it as a two-wheeled personal transportation vehicle that is ridden the same way as a moped or a bicycle and is said to be just as easy and simple to operate on the road. Boxx can be stored easily, even in your office or a living room, as it takes up little space. It may not look like it at first glance, but developers claim this is "the most stable two-wheeled vehicle available."
The minimalistic design sees the scooter made of a one-piece, light-weight aluminum shell. It can go for 80 miles on a single charge with a top speed of 35 miles per hours. A full charge takes 1 to 4 hours. It can carry 300 pounds of weight (itself weighing only 120 pounds). While ordering your Boxx, you can opt for a 1hr charger unit with 6 min charge 6 km travel range charging convenience or a heated seat for colder weather riding comfort.
You can configure and buy your own BOXX here. Current pricing for the basic model starts at $3,797.
