Smart as a brand is well suited for a complete electrcification, because all of its three models (Smart Fortwo, Smart Fortwo Cabrio and Smart Forfour) are mostly used inside the urban environment with short distances to drive.

But Daimler does not plan to only electrify Smart brand, but it will bring at least one electrified version to models in each segment by 2022. According to Zetsche they are also electrifying their vans, trucks and buses and have plans that go beyond their products.
