In line with the current offer of the French brand DS Automobiles, which is increasingly focusing on premium crossovers, the successor to the DS3 has become a crossover too. It is called the DS3 Crossback and also offers an electric drive.

This will be available in the DS3 Crossback E-Tense version, which will hit the market in the second half of next year. At the heart of the electric powertrain will be an electric motor with a power of 100 kilowatts and a torque of 260 NM, which will take its power from a lithium ion battery with a capacity of 50 kWh. Powertrain will allow accelerations in three seconds to 50 km/h and in 8,7 seconds to 100 km/h. A full battery will suffice for up to 300 kilometers, according to WLTP cycle(and 450 kilometers according to NEDC cycle). In addition to electric powertrain, four versions with internal combustion engines will also be available: three with petrol engines and one with a diesel engine.

With a length of 4,118, a width of 1,791, a height of 1,543 and a wheelbase of 2,558 meters, and a basic boot volume of 352 liters, the DS3 Crossback does not stand out from the class average of small urban cars, but at DS Automobiles they claim that it will do it with performance, sophistication and equipment levels, which place it in the premium area. As product vice president Eric Apode said, DS3 Crossback will charm its owners with sculptural design, creative interior and attention to the smallest details. In addition, avant-garde technologies will provide comfort and driving pleasure in all environments.
