The bi-annual "Copenhagenize Index - Bicycle-friendly Cities" revealed the winner for 2015. This time, it is not Amsterdam.
Cycling is one of the greenest and healthiest alternatives to traveling with cars. Enough has been already said about that, but it can't hurt to emphasize again and again how important it really is - to you, to the air you breathe, to the trees around you, to your neighbour's pet. In short, everyone and everything around us benefits from our decision to cycle instead of driving. If and when possible, of course.
Many cities, especially the ones that are among the most congested ones, have embraced cycling as a very welcome solution to heavy car traffic. Let's see which countries moved up and which slipped down in their efforts to transform their urban landscape into something more environmentally- and human health-friendly, all while encouraging bicycle culture.
This is the 2015 line-up, prepared by COPENHAGENIZE DESIGN COMPANY, an urban design consultancy (based in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Brussels and Zurich) that advises cities and goverments in how to work towards a more bicycle-friendly urban landscape, including infrastructure, planning and urban design:

Is your city also on the list?
