Yesterday, Google introduced an entirely new way of painting - creating images in 3D space with virtual reality!

Set up your virtual reality headset HTC Vive, install Steam and launch Tilt Brush. That's it. You're ready to go and create your digital masterpiece with life-size three-dimensional brush strokes, stars, light, and even fire.

You can undo or redo whatever action you've taken, save your sketch or see your actions live on your computer monitor. Select your colors and brushes and get going with a wave of your hand.

Your room serves as a huge blank piece of canvas, where you create your digital art - you can walk around your drawings, step inside one or go right through it.

Never before was an artist able to experience the painting process in such a unique, exciting way. The possibilities are endless.

See how artists from all over the world experienced the new technology, using it for the first time in The Lab (at Google Cultural Institute in Paris).
