The Emicro One has been already tested and 'approved' by none other than Hugh Jackman, reportedly the sexiest man alive. Does that make Emicro One the sexiest scooter on the planet?

If you like scooters, you'll love Emicro One! Even though you can't see it at first glance, Emicro One is an electric scooter, using motion detection sensors to detect driver's push or a kick. The scooter then adds power to the push and gives it additional speed, making 'the wheels go round' even faster. The developers at Micro claim this is the first motion-controlled electric scooter of its kind.

The range of the scooter is approx. 10 – 15 kilometres, but it heavily depends on the riding style, route profile and body weight of the rider (with a maximum carrier weight of 100 kg). Speeds of up to 25 km/h can be reached. The so-called 'Slope Support' feature makes the motor automatically increase speed when riding up an incline. The lithium polymer battery (82 Wh) is incorporated in the deck and the motor (500 W) is housed in the rear wheel hub. They are both practically invisible to the eye.

An empty battery requires only 60 minutes to fully re-charge, according to developers. Emicro One folds neatly and weighs merely 7.5 kilograms, guaranteeing mobility and simple use.  Wim Ouboter, Micro inventor and owner, explained that their vision was "to arrive at the destination in a clever, environmentally friendly and uncomplicated way."

And how much does this chic, environmentally friendly and efficient lifestyle product go for? A little less than 1,000 EUR.
