At the 15th International Architecture Exhibition "La Bienalle di Venezia", Volkswagen Group is supporting a Special Project Applied Art Pavillion 'A World of Fragile Parts' presented by La Bienalle and Victoria and Albert Museum from London.

Volkswagen is taking part as a Lead Supporter of the Engineering Partner in the project that connects two key institutions in the field of art and design. The project, curated by Victoria and Albert Museum curator Brendan Cornier, is dedicated to the highly debated role of copies that have a great role in the preservation of cultural artefacts. It also adresses the pressing questions, arising from technological innovations and changes within societies and environments, and can have a negative impact on various works of art.

Head of Cultural Engagement at Volkswagen Group Communications, Benita von Maltzahn, comments: "This exhibition draws peoples' attention to the close relations between social, technological and cultural developments. And it perfectly refers to the importance of art in our world, echoing our belief that creativity leads the way to tomorrow. Therefore it is a pleasure for the Volkswagen Group to support this pioneering project."

Volkswagen's support of 'A World of Fragile Parts', which will be exhibited in the Sale d'Armi within Venice Arsenale from 28 May to 27 November, is a part of cooperation with Victoria and Albert Museum for the current Engineerign Season. It is just a part of Volkswagen's activity in this field since cooperation also runs with other partners such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Nationalgalerie – Staatliche Museen zu Berlin.
