Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid powertrain is equiped with two electric motors integrated in electrical variable transmission (EVT) which are both capable of driving the wheels. They get electric energy from the lithium-ion battery that sits ander second row seats. With the capacity of 16 kWh it allows for about 50 kilometers of solely electrical reach and can be completely charged in as little as two hours via 240-volt charger.

When the batery is depleted, powertrain starts to function as conventinal hybrid with the consumption of just a litle over 2,9 liters of petrol per 100 kilometers. In the heart of hybrid powertrain sits an adapted version of 3,6-liter Pentastar V6 petrol engine, which produces 185 kilowats of power and features an Atkinson cycle combustion system and an increased compresion ratio of 12.5:1.

Since the battery is integrated under the second row of sits, it does not allow for the Stow'n Go of these seats, but it is also the only compromise that owners of Pacifica Hybrid have to face. Full cargo capacity of the trunk is retained and also the thrid row of seats, which makes it to 8-seater, has all the functionality of Stow'n Go system. Since Chrysler Pacifica is all new car it also has many of desired features such as tri-pane panoramic sunroof, 8.4-inch touchscreen display in front and Uconnetc theater in rear, Adaptive Cruise Control, parking assist, Collision Warning, surround view camera, hands free door operation, optional built in vacuum cleaner and many more.
