According to reports by Business Korea, Hyundai and Kia will increase their combined production of electric cars to 50.000 units next year.

The increase in production is part of the plan by which Korean automaker will climb from fourth to second place in among companies producing hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric cars by the year 2020.

To achieve this goal Hyundai and Kia will introduce several new EV models, most important the electric version of Niro (already on the market as hybrid and plug-in hybrid) and electric version of Hyundai Kona.
