Hyundai is following an example set by german car manufacturers and also offers a subsidies from 2.500 up to 10.000 euro to drivers, who will trade in their old diesel cars for new Hyundai vehicle.
The offer will be valid untill December 31 and will apply to cars with Euro1 Euro 2, Euro 3 and Euro 4 exhaust standards which are for at least six months in possesion of their current owners. If they trade in their diesel car, they can buy Hyundai's hybrid model Ioniq aswell as new cars with petrol or diesel engines, which fulfill the Euro 6 exhaust norm. The hight of subsidy depends on the purchased new car.
