The next year will be special for Opel, which will not only celebrate 120 years of car production, but it will also accelerate the electrification of its model line. In the first half of 2019 Opel will star receiving orders for an electric version of the new Opel Corsa and plug-in hybrid version of Grandland X crossover.

Opel's CEO Michael Loscheller said that electric Corsa will bring electric mobility to people, but did not say anything about its technical details. On the other hand Grandland X's powertrain will have a power equivalent of 300 HP and will be supported by electric all wheel drive.

In 2020 Opel will bring an electric version of new Vivaro van to the road, and the same year they will also introduce a new generation of Mokka X, which will also feature an electric version.
