PSA Group will evaluate range-extender for plug-in vehicles, developed by Israeli startup Aquarius Engine.

In 2014 established startup has namely an engine-generator, based on a single piston petrol engine, which is supposedly cheaper, smaller, cleaner and more efficient than power generators currently used in range-extended electric cars.

PSA Group will also fund the israeli research of the range-extender, which will be very important in its plans to introduce four all-electric and seven plug-in hybrid models between 2019 and 2012.
