After announcing a long-term strategic cooperation to create an integrated network of autonomous vehicles four months ago, GM and rideshare company Lyft will start testing self-driving Cnevrolet Bolt EV taxi next year.

They did not tell, which cities will be included in testing of autonomous taxis and how many cars will take a part in an experiment, but it was said that users of Lyft's mobile application will have the possibility to opt to go with the driver or without.

GM said it plans to make Lyft into main user of Chevrolet Bolt EV and they laso invested 500 million dollars in the company, but they also said that the technology for autonomous ride will come from Cruise Automation company based in San Francisco, which was acquired by GM fo 1 billion dollars.
