In its special plant at Flins, Renault produced the 50,000th plug-in electric car Renault Zoe. The milestone car was bought by Sylvie, a French citizen from Saint Cloud in Paris.

The new owner of Renault Zoe said, when she was presented with the keys at the factory site in Flins, that she was encouraged to buy her first electric car by her children and she intends to use it on a daily basis.

Since 2013, Renault has been the only car brand that managed to complete an all-electric car range, including Twizy, Zoe and Kangoo Z.E. to its all-electric fleet. Since then the global EV market has grown substantially - it expanded by incredible 40 per cent in a year's time last year, when Renault sold 18,500 Zoe vehicles, securing a 20 per cent European and 55 per cent French market share. From a survey they also got information that 98 per cent of customers who decided to buy Renault Zoe, are now - as Zoe drivers - very happy with their decision.
